Regarding storage - If I haven&#039;t purchased the wheat in the 6-gallon nitrogen-flushed pails, I&#039;ll break the wheat down into 2 pound portions which I vacuum seal (after throwing in an oxygen scrubber).  I&#039;ll then put the individual sealed bags into a 6-gallon bucket with a lid.

This gives me easy to access portions without exposing the full 40 pounds or so to the air.  It also gives me pre-measured portions that can be used for barter, or given to neighbors in need without disclosing my full stores.</description>
