Four Gallon Buckets Available – Food Safe Square Buckets

So I have a bunch of four gallon buckets available that are ideal for food storage.  Far more than I need right now.  I’m looking to unload them.

Some details:

  • They’re once-used for food and are food safe
  • They are cleaned out, but may or may not have identifying labels on them
  • They come with tight fitting lids, but no handles
  • They’re all located in the Pacific Northwest (Greater Seattle Area). I’m not opposed to shipping them, but we’d have to work out shipping costs, etc.
  • The picture above is representative, not an actual picture!

As you know if you’ve read my stuff on long term food storage, I prefer these type of buckets over the standard 5 gallon round buckets because they pack denser, fully utilize storage space, and are MUCH easier to move if need be.  I don’t use round buckets for anything.

Anyhow, I’m looking to unload them for $2/each.  If you’re interested, send me an email with how many you’re looking for and we’ll work out the details! (My email address is rudy AT

  1. Hey Rudy, do you have a guesstimate on how much of stuff would fit in one? Let’s say, of wheat for instance. I have to order by the pound for instance, and don’t know how much to get.

  2. Hi Anna! Not Rudy, but I am able to fit about 25 lbs on average in mine. I also use the 4 gallon square buckets and they are wonderful. Quite a bit easier to line up as well.

  3. Rudy that is the best price I’ve ever seen for food-grade buckets with lids. They are not easy to find locally. I sent you an email to order a bunch. I like this size better than 5 gallon, they are just a little easier to handle and the square ones stack nicely along walls and in corners.

  4. Hey I was interested in buying some of your 4 gallon buckets but had trouble e-mailing you. Mine is posted above so if you could e-mail me I would appreciate it so we could work something out. Thanks

  5. Hi,
I am new into food storage. I am amazed at the cost of pails and lids. If you have any left, I would love to buy some.

  6. Believe it or not but I purchased food grade buckets and lids at Walmart in their paint section. When you buy a white pail call the manufacturer on the bottom of the pail and they will tell you it’s food grade. The one at Walmart currently is……$1.93 plus $1.00 for the lid, 5 gallons round pail.
