How to prepare your family to survive and thrive in todays uncertain world

New and Noteworthy for Today, January 3, 2012

Here’s a bunch of links I saw today that I thought you might like.

  • TL In Exile: Indentured Servitude
What are the chances that the Court will decide in the people’s favor? The Court does not see us as individuals capable of exerting any political pressure at all. They are comfortable in their roles as some form of extra-governmental majesties. Theirs is a world where their decisions are final and complete. There is no means of reversal, or appeal. Their word, more than any other governing body, is law.
  • 2011 Year in Review: Signs of an American Spring and a Fourth Turning – Blogs at Chris Martenson
We have a massive global debt problem that will take years to unwind. Some think it is a zero-sum game, but I disagree. The World is blanketed with people fully aware of what has been promised to them but oblivious to their share of the tab. The average tax payer in the US, for example, is unaware that they owe $30,000 simply to pay off the state pension liabilities to some average tax payers. Larry Kotlikoff, the undisputed World’s expert on unfunded liabilities, estimates there are $211 trillion [45]. This is approximately $2 million per taxpayer. Do you think taxpayers have budgeted for that one?
  • From Fiction To Reality | Neal’s Soapbox
Most people don’t even realize the implications of what the NDAA does, or allows, a sitting President to do. I urge you to watch the Bourne Ultimatum to get an idea. Imagine those type actions on American soil, directed at American citizens…then you’ll get an idea of what Barack Obama just signed into law.
  • Neal’s Civics Class for 2012 | Neal’s Soapbox
Do you honestly expect a government, which is intent upon depriving you of your rights, if going to openly tell you of their goal? I can just hear the President now when he gives his next State of the Union Address, “My fellow Americans, over the course of the next year I propose to enact laws which will deprive you of the rights protected by the Second, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments.” If you believe that, well, there is no hope left for this country.
  • Small Holding: Grid Down Firewood Collection
I have written before about my experiments in grid down heating of the Small-Hold. By grid down I am referring to not only an electrical grid failure but the possibility of little to no fuel deliveries as well. Making it necessary to gather firewood for an extended period of time by muscle power alone including the felling and cutting. Not an easy task to be sure.
  • NDAA 2012: Sealing the Deal
Deemed a “terrorist”, or “providing aid” to one, under this law, US citizens would be stripped of their American citizenship.  Stripped of citizenship, all bets and pretenses of protection are off.

This bill, combined with the NDAA, irrevocably binds the course of this nation to one path.

  • Patriot’s Lament: H.R. 3166: Enemy Expatriation Act
Breathe a sigh of relief! They weren’t telling us lies after all. The NDAA won’t allow for indefinite detention of American citizens…no no no, you silly little Americans.

You will no longer be a Citizen!!!

  • Wouldn’t it be nice if there were one set of rules that applied equally?
