Or maybe not … which means it’s time for me to revisit my plans for this blog and related activities.
Earlier this year I decided to put a new article up every weekday. For the most part I’ve managed to do that, though there have been a few gaps here and there.
Needless to say, that can be a bit of a task. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep up that frequency next year, or if I’ll drop back to a couple times a week instead. If you have an opinion on what you’d like, do let me know.
There’s lots of other websites that blog about every little thing that happens in the world, or post lots of little things. That’s not really me, because I try to avoid the ranting and raving for the most part. Sometimes I don’t manage though…
Because of that I tend to run out of things to write about from time to time. So please keep sending me your questions via email. I love helping with specific problems and answering questions I may not have thought of.
It’s also time to start putting together plans for next year. Refining the ones that are already in place, adding new ones, and nuking the ones that shouldn’t be there.
His overall ideas aside, Nietzsche said “When you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back at you.” … and as a blogger in the survival and preparedness area, this is a real concern. I find myself going to dark places from time to time. My wife is pretty good at noticing and poking me about it, but sometimes it comes through in my writing. I try to avoid it, but it happens.
Life isn’t easy, and it’s full of challenges. Some harder than others.
Right now things in the world are rough. Many aspects of the future look grim.
But as you walk into the next year, have confidence in yourself and your family. Have a plan. Work the plan.
Kiss your spouse, and hug your children.
And then once more into the breach.
